I have been pleased with the service from D'Spain. They installed the three systems about 13 years ago and I have been on the semi-annual maintenance plan ever since. There have been many service technicians over the years and most, if not all, have been qualified, professional and friendly. Joseph Otero is at the top of the list. He really impressed me during the May 2026 service. I would also like to give a shout-out to Jessica Cox in the office. She is very helpful and pleasant to work with for these many years.

D'Spain has been a reliable service company. I believe the recent takeover by Beyer Brothers has added good reporting improvements along with additional costs. While I experienced a significant increase in the annual membership, I also received a nice discount as a long time customer.

The original equipment installed was all Trane. I have not been impressed. We have had numerous coils replaced due to leaks as well as "dirty socks" syndrome. The repair service was good and I received preferential treatment as a member; however, the warranty only covered parts. So these repairs due to faulty equipment were quite expensive and frustrating.

One entire unit (master br) has been replaced after about 12 years of use. I suppose that is "normal" these days. And this was one of the units which had a coil replaced - maybe two, I'm not sure. The new unit is a Daikin for which I purchased a 10 year parts and labor policy for it.

Finally, during this last service visit Joseph pointed out the mold that exists around the inside units at the plenums - he showed pictures to me and posted them in their new reporting system, which I like. He explained how they could install UV lighting to kill this mold. My question is why doesn't Beyer/DSpain have their technicians kill the mold with some kind of disinfectant at the time of service? Similarly, he showed dust build up on the blower and it seemed to me that at least some of that should be removed with a small vacuum.

In summary, I have been quite satisfied with the level of service provided by D'Spain and always happy with the technicians, especially Joseph. However, I have been very dissatisfied with the Trane equipment. I had hoped that by having my systems on regular maintenance schedules since installation that I would have received at least 12-15 years of trouble free service. This has not been the case.

We have had some issues with a new system and the response and help has been fabulous. Ryne, James, Jessica…. And the whole team are top notch.
